EU Challenger Series Ruling - H2k Gaming
Team: H2k Gaming
During a match on July 10 against GG Call Nash, H2k-Gaming exhibited unsportsmanlike behavior when they failed to play their best and promptly end the game. The prolonged and suspicious gameplay includes H2k players intentionally building ineffective items (e.g. Morgana built Tiamat and Essence Reaver) and wasting Flash cooldowns while alone in their own territory.
Section 220.127.116.11 of the official Challenger Series ruleset states:
“Teams are expected to play at their best at all times within any CS game, and to avoid any behavior inconsistent with the principles of good sportsmanship, honesty, or fair play.”
H2k Gaming has violated Section 18.104.22.168 of the Challenger Series and will be subject to penalties.
H2k Gaming is:
- Fined $300 USD
Conclusion & Final Thoughts
The Challenger Series is about featuring high level play and showcasing the next generation of LCS players. We do not tolerate teams that blatantly disrespect their competitors and detract from the spirit of the game. We take violations of the goals of the Challenger Series and the Summoner's Code very seriously and will continue to enforce them.
